Tantalum Ingot

Tantalum Ingot

Description
Due to good corrosion-resistant and thermostable properties, tantalum ingot is widely applied in the chemical, petroleum, medical care, manufacture and commodity-processing industries. It features good cold machining and oxide film performance, easy to weld.

Application
Tantalum ingot is used for making electronic capacitors and vacuum furnace parts. The metal is widely used in fabricating chemical process equipment, nuclear reactors, heat exchangers, aircraft and missile parts. Tantalum is entirely immune to body liquids and is a nonirritating metal. It has, therefore, found wide use in making surgical appliances. Tantalum oxide is used to make special glass with a high index of refraction for camera lenses.
Tantalum ingot can be also used for sputtering targets. Tantalum sputtering targets are mostly applied in the semiconductor industry.
